Pat: Makayla’s leaving the show?! Did you guys see this?! *Pat continues to read her phone* Oh Annika? I didn’t even know Makayla had beef with Annika.
Producer: How do you feel about all of this?
Pat: I honestly don’t know… I mean i’m in SHOCK.
Jocelyn: *taking selfies as phone alert pops up* Oh my GOD, are you serious?!
Yun: What’s happening over there, J?
Jocelyn: It’s says Makayla is leaving the show because of things that’s been said over social media…
Yun: Oh wow… I didn’t know it was that serious. What’s been going on?
Jocelyn: There’s been a HUGE blowup over Twitter for the last few days between us and Annika. I guess Makayla didn’t want to be near her anymore.
Yun: You need to call and check up on her then.
Jocelyn: You best believe I will. This is not like her running from conflict.
Jocelyn’s Confessional: I’m honestly flabbergasted at the fact that Makayla has decided to leave the show. This is really shocking and stunning because I didn’t expect it to end this way.
Yun: Well, enough about the drama with your friends. Come here so I can finish your wigs!
Jocelyn: *laughs* Boy!
Angela: *checks makeup and hair in mirror, sits down waiting for Mahir* Oh my gosh, let’s see what’s been blowing up my phone all day.
Angela’s Confessional: I’ve been running around with Chloe to dance practice, Jovan to soccer, and my baby boy to a play date- I’ve hardly had any time to check my phone unless it was urgent but it’s been dinging all day.
Angela: *reads through articles and texts & then scrolls to last unread text*
Mahir: *comes down* Babe, you ready?
Angela: Hold on a second. *lifts finger while reading in a mumbling voice* I just can’t do this anymore, I have better things to prioritize- they win….What is she talking about?
Mahir: What?
Angela: Makayla said she’s done with the group and the drama, she quit the show.
*cameras fade out as Angela shakes her head in shock*
Dallas: Hey sis. Did you see this?
Frankie: What is it? *looks at Dallas’s phone* What the FUCK is going on?!
Dallas: Have you talked to Makayla?
Frankie: Yeah, here and there. I didn’t know she was even feeling like this, but I can’t say I’m surprised considering Annika has been very suspect with her slick mouth. I told about the comments of her describing me & Jocelyn as “loud” and other comments.
Dallas: Yeah, which is sad considering what we have all been through this year.
Frankie’s Confessional: I’m going to miss Makayla, she was fun, bubbly & even though she was shady, she was true to me still. But with Annika still around, I don’t know if this is something I want to be apart of anymore myself. My issues stem from Annika’s comments and her basically giving Pat comfort in the fact that I took advantage of her. Which is a fucking lie. It’s too much, chile.
Frankie: This is all too much. I’m about to stress eating in a minute.
Dallas: You have been putting on a little bit of weight.
Frankie: Now you stop that, I lost at least 7 pounds.
Dallas: And you gained 9 back. *Frankie & Dallas laughing* Shut up Dallas!
*Annika and Hassan walk hand in hand into seaside restaurant, he pushes out her seat as she sits down and joins her at the table*
Annika’s Confessional: This past week a lot has gone on. A lot of back and fourth online between myself and the other ladies… and it’s kind of taken a toll on my life. I’m being attacked not only by the women, but by trolls online. I’m being called everything from racist, homophobic, terrorist… which is absolutely not true. I want to cry just thinking of it. *starts tearing up*
Hassan: *to waiter* We’ll have two glasses of water to start, please. Thank you. *looks at Annika* How are you feeling baby?
Annika: *stares blankly at Hassan* I’m just in such shock that all of this happening. I feel like I’m the victim in this situation. Jocelyn attacked me, followed by the other girls. It’s jaw dropping that I’m being made to be racist…*shakes head in disbelief*
Hassan: I knew it was a bad idea to be around these type of women. I trusted that you would be able to handle it.
Annika: Maybe for once in my life I was wrong, I didn’t expect to be around such vindictive convincing women.
Hassan: Baby, you always were and always will be more beautiful than them. You should’ve have known they would hate you.
Annika: *smiles* You’re right, but I’ve always been a women that supports and uplifts. I just feel like being around these ladies is turning me into a mean girl.
Hassan: Well then quit being around them. Forget all of this. *motions towards cameras*
Annika: I’m not a quitter, just because something gets hard. I’m not letting these women run me off. I’m not a pussy, babe.
Hassan: Whatever. I just don’t think you need this.*looks at camera*
Annika’s Confessional: Hassan isn’t too happy about all the drama that’s going on. I mean if it were up to him, I’d be at home raising our daughter and not around any of this. But this is my journey, my experience and I have to tough it out.
Hassan: Excuse me baby, I need to go to the restroom. *gets up and walks to the bathroom*
Annika: Okay, babe. *picks up phone and calls Pat*
Pat: *on phone* Hey, girl!
Annika: Hey babe, how are you?
Pat: I’m alright. I’ve just been bombarded with texts and calls about all this mess! But the real question is, how are YOU doing?
Annika: *deep sigh* I’m a little overwhelmed, I’m going to be honest. I’ve never had to deal with this kind of scandal in my life. I had to reactivate my accounts this morning.
Pat: I don’t get exactly what happened. All I heard was Makayla quit and it was because of your tweets. What exactly was said to her?
Annika: I’ve heard that she quit, but Makayla wasn’t involved. I haven’t seen or heard from her since the beach trip.
Pat: Weird.
Annika’s Confessional: I have no idea why Makayla quit. But if she did it’s probably her own issues and nothing to do with me. Look at her life. She has enough problems.
Annika: I just feel like all these girls want to do is gang up on me.
Pat: Well girl, I told you about them going after the pretty girls.
Annika: I may have crossed the line with some comments but it’s 3–4 women constantly attacking me at once.
Pat: Listen, I’m having the girls over tomorrow to discuss some things. Come by. Let’s just all talk and get this resolved. I promise I’ll have your back.
Annika: *concerned look* I’m really not sure about this Pat, but I trust you. I just want to clear the air, it’s gone too far.
Pat: Yes. I’ll text you tomorrow when to pop by. Stay strong my love. I know your heart is good.

Pat: *preparing the house as confessional plays*
Pat’s Confessional: After everything that’s happened, I’ve invited over all the girls over to talk. I think it’s time we really all put our guards down and spoke about everything.
Frankie: *pulls into Pat’s home*
Frankie’s Confessional: This has been a very difficult 24 to 48 hours. A lot of things have been said and damage has been done. Pat invited a few ladies to hear us out and hear our point of view. At first I wasn’t open to it because I don’t feel that Pat cares at all, but the PEOPLE deserve to hear this conversation no matter how difficult it may or may not be. I’m doing it for the PEOPLE, okay?! *snaps*
Frankie: *walks up to the door and rings doorbell*
Pat: *opens door* Hey, Frankie! Come on in.
Frankie: *walks in* Hey! How’re you, girl?
Pat: I’m alright. Just trying to process all of this mess. It’s a bit overwhelming.
Frankie: Girl, I completely understand! It’s VERY overwhelming and I am a little bit emotional today, so I’m going to try not to be aggressive with her because that could get out of hand real quick!
Jocelyn: *walks up to the door and rings the doorbell* Helloooo, I’m hereee!
Pat: *yells* Joc, come on in girl!
Jocelyn: *walks in* Hey, ladies!

Tanya: *walks up and rings doorbell*

Angela’s Confessional: Maybe another clothing item would’ve been better all things considered… just sayin.
Pat: Alright ladies. Let’s make our way over to the living room. It’s way more comfortable.
Tanya: *sits down* So what in the hell is going on?
Frankie: A LOT.
Pat: Alright now that we are all here, let’s start. First let me just say, I don’t know enough of what exactly happened so can someone just break it down before we have any reactions or opinions and what not.
Jocelyn: Well I guess I can start. It really started with me reacting to a friend of mine’s tweet on Twitter and Annika responded to it. I then responded which led to a Twitter war.
Pat: Well what exactly was said to Makayla because obviously she’s not here for a reason…
Angela: I talked to Makayla this morning. She told me that she feels overwhelmed by the drama and can’t take the stress of the group while basically being a single mother to two young children. She didn’t express anything to me about Annika so I think that’s a spin…
Pat: Single Mother?
Angela: Well, she feels like a single Mom because Leo is in Columbia.
Pat: Okay, so Makayla’s situation has really nothing to do with Annika then?
Tanya: Okay, well if it’s not about Annika… then who the hell released information to that TRASH show?!
Angela: We KNOW who released the information.
Frankie: Really? WHO?
Pat: Everyone SLOW DOWN. Go back. Explain the tweets that Annika wrote first.
Angela: She called me “soot face” and then referred to me, Jocelyn, and Frankie as roaches. And she asserted that Frankie was a rapist.
Pat: I’m sorry for the question but what is a soot face?
Angela: Well ask your friend! Because this face looks nothing like soot!
Pat: But if you guys see it as a racist comment, I have to understand it from your point of view so what does it mean?
Angela: Soot is a black substance, there’s no other way to take it…
Jocelyn: Soot is a black, powdery substance. And as a non African-American woman, it comes off as that wrong way.
Pat: Thank you for clarifying because truly, I didn’t know.
Angela’s Confessional: Annika can’t read so she has to rely on anti-blackness. It’s PATHETIC.
Pat: First, I can’t imagine what it’s like being a person of color in America because i’m not that. I’m fully aware of my privilege and I check it at the door. I’m sorry that someone would go so low to attack someone’s skin color. I guess because i’m white, I didn’t know that roach would be something considered racist. So I appreciate you guys letting me know all of this. Second, Frankie… I want to say that i’m truly sorry for what I wrote about you in the book. I really can’t imagine what you feel or felt when reading that. And for someone to take it and use it as an insult or to call you a rapist truly hurts me. I wish I could take it back because that was not my intention whatsoever.
Frankie: I accept the apology because it feels genuine, Pat. It really does. I appreciate it. *smiles and slightly tears up*
Frankie’s Confessional: Pat and I can move on from the book because it took her friend to use it against me to finally see she was wrong.
Pat: Now Jocelyn, obviously we’ve had our differences. I know you’re going through a lot and I meant what I said… I want to move on. I’m here for you!
Jocelyn: I appreciate that, Pat! I really do. I’m tired of arguing with you every time we get together. We have more in common than we think.
Pat: And just in general ladies, ya’ll might be a bunch of bitches… but I truly would never allow someone to attack any of you for the color of your skin. No matter how down and dirty we get with each other, I have your backs in this. Seriously.
Angela: YASSS Queen Patricia!
Frankie: Go Queen P! *laughs*
Pat’s Confessional: It’s important for these girls to know how I feel and know that I have their backs during this. Any type of racism is unacceptable. I won’t tolerate it now and I won’t EVER tolerate it.
Angela: Well here’s my thing. I don’t have much to add but you all heard how she referred to me as “that kind”, we’ve seen who she is. She’s prejudice and that women empowerment brand is FAKE AS FUCK.
Frankie: VERY fake. To go on social media and try to use what Jocelyn is going through is low and all I asked her is what happened to the women empowerment? Like it’s TOO much!
Pat: I mean do you guys think that she was provoked to act like that or she just went nuts? Because I spoke to her and she honestly was sincere about what she said but of course, points out that you guys are always on her.
Angela: *rolls eyes* Play the victim, Annika. Play the victim!
Tanya: I think it’s a defense strategy.
Pat: Yes T, but the defense can’t be racism!
Tanya: No no I don’t agree with that shit at all! I’m just saying, I think that’s why she comes off so strong is because maybe this is how she had to defend herself growing up. But the racist comments do need to stop.
Pat: Angela, Joc, & Frankie… do you ladies even want to be around her at this point?
Frankie: Not really…
Angela: I think we’ve had much better individuals in our group. I’d be happy to see them around than her ANY DAY, including Janae and you know how painful that is for me to say.
Frankie: Whew. She said Janae. That’s deep *laughs*
Tanya’s Confessional: I mean if these bitches want JANAE back then they must really hate Annika because they can’t stand Janae! *laughs*
Jocelyn: I mean…if she continues to act the way she has been acting, I will be reluctant to be around her. However, if she tries to do better, I won’t be as hesitant.
Pat: Well listen ladies, I did invite Annika over. I think she needs to hear you all out. And hopefully she’ll have some answers for everyone.
Angela: OH, so is she just gonna slither in here?! *walks up and mimics slither*
Angela’s Confessional: I’m ready to see the snake’s entrance, come on Python- show us what you got!
Frankie: *laughs at Angela* Girl, you KILL me!
Annika: *arrives at Pat’s home and gets out of car as confessional plays*
Annika’s Confessional: Pat invited to me over to finally sit and talk about the drama with the girls in person. I feel like I’m walking into the lions den right now, but Pat promised to have my back against these bitches.
Annika: *knocks on door and takes a deep breath*
Pat: *opens door* Hey girl. Come on in. Just breathe. Listen to everyone and just be yourself. It’ll be OK.
Annika: *deep sigh* Yes… I’m ready for this.
Pat: *walks Annika into the living room* Okay ladies… Annika’s here.
Tanya: Hey, Annika! Welcome welcome.
Angela: *gives Annika the death stare*
Annika: *sits down* Hello everyone, good to see you.
*Everyone’s silent*
Annika’s Confessional: The tension in this room is super thick. Like no one except Tanya wants to say hi? *rolls eyes*
Pat: So Annika, obviously you know why you are here and the situation. I guess for me and I’ve heard the girls and everything they had to say and I have to agree that the tweets were completely out of line. Then I get word that you leaked the information to this stupid television show. I don’t know if it’s true, but it seems that way.
Tanya: *chokes on drink*
Tanya’s Confessional: Annika leaked the info to the talk show?! OOOH chile. She definitely has some explaining to do.
Annika: *nods in confusion* Okay…I’m going to be honest today about everything that’s going on but I really want to hear from everyone else before I speak.
Pat: I appreciate that. I guess for me, and then someone else can talk. I just hope that everything you hear today, you receive and reflect because I want all of us to truly move forward.
Tanya: I’ll go next because I don’t have a lot to say. I really like you Annika and I don’t want you to go anywhere. But after hearing and seeing some of the stuff you put on social media, it’s wrong girl. Like we can’t say that stuff to each other! But like I told the girls, I think this is a defense tactic maybe from your childhood and having to defend yourself growing up? It doesn’t excuse the racist comments, but it makes sense as to why you go hard the way you do.
Frankie: *sips mimosa*
Angela: *rolls eyes*

Pat: Angela, you’re next.
Angela: So Annika, I’ve clearly known you the longest. Our husbands attend the same mosque, your husband has been in my house, all of that. Your women’s empowerment brand would be admirable if you were a woman worth respecting. Everything I know you’ve said aside before you came into this group, you denied knowing me, wrote disrespectful tweets about my home you weren’t invited to, called me a roach, referred to me as “your kind”, said I was a gold digger, just about everything but a child of God. You may have some of these ladies fooled, but I see right through you and it takes everything in me not to say what I’m really thinking but you would deserve every word.
Pat: *eyes widen*
Tanya: *gasps*
Annika: *stares at Angela blankly* Okay… wow.
Frankie: Well, damn. *finishes mimosa*
Annika: *throws up arms* Who’s next?!
Pat: Ang, are you okay with us moving on to Jocelyn?
Angela: Yes, I’ve said what I needed to say. *sits back and sips mimosa*
Frankie’s Confessional: If the library wasn’t open before it definitely is open now. Angela, girlllll! Chill, honey! *laughs*
Jocelyn: Now I’m not going to read you like Angela, but Annika… you’ve proved yourself to be basically “out of reality”, if you will. When we met at your speaking engagement, I liked you, but then things you would do kind of annoyed me and it went downhill from there. I tried to go easy on you and just brush pass it but some of the things you’ve done and said is just really nerve irking and fucking disrespectful. “Soot face”, releasing the articles and tweeting about what I’m going through was disgusting and you need to realize that.
Annika: *grabs tissue from purse and pats mascara*
Pat: Frankie, you’re next.
Frankie: *takes a breath* I am tired. I truly am. For you to quote a tweet and say I took advantage of someone while they were under the influence is toxic. The “Women empowerment” went out the door soon as you said homophobic comments about licking box with Jazmine. You barely know. You barely know who you are underneath so it shouldn’t surprise me but it does. Who are you? Doctors are supposed to make things better NOT worse. You tweeting that is very hurtful and damaging to my image. So I say all that to say I don’t want to be ANYWHERE near you. End of story.
*Everyone is silent for a moment*
Pat: Annika. You’ve heard everyone. Now please, respond…
Annika: Honestly I’ve heard each of you. As a woman of color, I first want to respond to my soot face comments. Angela, I know you hate me… I can’t control that. I wasn’t thinking about what I said when I tweeted it. It was wrong and it was never meant to be racist but I understand 100% how it could be taken that way. I love black women and I love gay people. Ask anyone! I grew up a very privileged life, where most people love me…*grabs tissue from purse* this is my first time having to deal with women who hate me for no reason. I said some things that I shouldn’t have and for that I’m sincerely sorry. *wipes tear* I support each of you. *shrugs* take it or leave it.
Jocelyn: If you know what you said was wrong, then you should know that the “hate” isn’t for nothing. You have not supported me. If you supported me, you wouldn’t be tweeting things making a mockery of what’s happening in my life.
Pat: I do agree that you gals, and you will fight me on this and it’s fine… you do tend to band together to go after someone. If someone goes for Angela, you have to be prepped to hear from like 4 other girls.
Angela: Why can’t I have support?! And even if it is 5 girls, does that excuse someone to be RACIST?
Pat: No no! STOP right there! That’s not where I was going with this! Jocelyn and Annika, I want you to two to talk for a second. What’s the issue?
Jocelyn: I’m not sure why I have to keep rehashing the issue when we all know what it is. Annika and I aren’t cool and the things she’s said I do not like. Simple.
Pat: Well can I ask what got you to such an ugly place with each other? Like where did it go so wrong?
Annika: *Grabs documents from purse* Jocelyn, as an apology to you, me and Hassan had the eviction lifted from your record and took care of the outstanding balance on the school. *hands her the document* I support women. Take it or leave it.
Jocelyn: *gets up and throws document in the trash* THIS is some bullshit. *sits back down*
Annika: *looks in disbelief*
Jocelyn: You don’t know the the business behind the school, so clearly this is a convenient stunt to make you look good. I won’t let it happen!
Angela’s Confessional: Annika must think Black people are charity cases. The tweets about millions a year to BLM…insinuating my husband is “above” me…it’s not genuine. You can’t make me believe it is.
Tanya: Jocelyn, what do you want Annika to do or say?
Jocelyn: Take accountability for what she’s done. Don’t try to sugarcoat it. Don’t try to add other things to it to deviate from topic at hand. Be real. Oh, and don’t pull stunts like the one you just did.
Annika: *stands up* I just — this isn’t going well. Clearly there’s nothing I can do to get them to see how genuine I am. My comments were fucking wrong! *faces women* but bullying is also wrong. I’m DONE with this.
Pat: Alright alright, let’s relax. Listen girls, we HAVE to move forward. We’ve been through way too fucking much together to throw this all away. EVERYONE in this room has done unforgivable things. But we have all made attempts to move forward. Well fuck, look at Angela and I. *looks at Angela and grabs her hand* I hated this bitch! We fought like no other! *flashback to a montage of fights between Angela and Pat* But we’ve MOVED on!
Angela: Listen, I want to really end this. I’m going to try my hardest to forgive you, for myself and for the sake of this group. I personally don’t want to be around you, but I can suck it up so that you have an opportunity to grow. I won’t rob you of that.
Annika: *nods at Angela’s statement*
Pat: That’s amazing, Ang. Girls, I think this can be and should be a fresh start. We have to stop this go around. We are Doctors and professional women. I’m happy everyone was able to speak out about how they feel and I hope that we can move forward. We have so much more to learn from each other! So let’s do that. Let’s learn and listen.
Annika: I just need a chance. Please get to know the real Annika.
Tanya: I think we can all do amazing things together. *smiles and hugs Annika*
Pat’s Confessional: I’m hopeful for our group. I think with some time we can heal. Makayla is no longer here so we have to move on without her. I’m sad to see her go, but hopeful this group can be stronger without her. When it comes to Annika, I believe we are about to see a newer and more real version of the woman we see. There was a lot of growth in this house today and of course, a lot of pain. But we when stick together. We can do SO much. We can really conquer anything.
Pat: Group hug everyone!
